Stephanie Jagger has almost knocked off 4 million vert this winter, but did she do it in rear entry boots?
In the November 2010 issue of Mountain Life we met up with Stephanie Jagger, a Vancovuer skier who was taking the common chairlift instruction of “Raise Restraining Device” to the next level. Considering a job to be quite restraining, Steph dropped out of the workforce and embarked on a round-the-world mission to ski 4 million vertical feet in a single year. From South America to New Zealand, Aisia to Europe Steph pounded out runs and logged some serious time on her boards. Today, she just surpassed 3.9 million vert and is poised to beat the Guinness World Record in about ten days.
Watch for Steph on Blackcomb Mountain this week, she’ll be chick with the really strong thighs, or stay up to date on her blog www.theverticalfeat.com
we’ll try and catch up with at the end for an interview. stay tuned….
