When i first met Josee St Amour it was Halloween 2000 and she offered to carve a gas mask pumpkin for the premier of my ski movie. The Gas Mask was our logo and i knew that with all the effort we were putting into the premier, there was no way i would have time to carve a pumpkin. And besides, how do you even get a pumpkin to look like a gas mask? those things are crazy intricate.
Well, Josee showed up with the most beautiful pumpkin i have ever seen, translucent in some parts, carved in others, it looked exactly like a gas mask. I knew right then Josee was a true artist.
And now Josee and her gallery, The House of RTS, are having their final art show on Thursday July 28 in downtown Squamish. Go check it out and bring money. It will be incredible.
