Mike Douglas is an innovator so it’s no surprise that the latest Salomon video is only six seconds of actual time, but shot in such slow-motion that they milk an entire episode out of it.
Jibbing has been around for over a decade now and I don’t think there are too many people out there who won’t admit it really helped skiing move forward and out from under Snowboarding’s shadow. That’s not to say we here at Mountain Life are going to rush out and start grinding rails with in-runs built from snow stolen from behind the ice rink, but we respect the skill and this video looks like a lot of fun was had.
Thankfully, our Coast Mountain winters are powdery enough that none of the Mountain Life staff really have the time or motivation to get our jib on.
Or maybe we’re just getting old.
