There’s a lot to be said for rising with the sun and getting off to an early start, whether out of sheer necessity or because your kids start jumping on your face before dawn. Some early birders take advantage of a full day with a carpé diem attitude, hitting the trail early to get back home before the sun goes down. On the flipside, the night owl’s circadian rhythm checks out life on a different clock. They’d rather sleep in the morning but linger in the alpine to check out the sunset and hike back down under the light of the moon. Which bird do you fly with?

We hit up YouTube to see what if would deliver when we typed in ‘Early Bird Gets the Worm’ and ‘Night Owl’. From a classic cartoon to a melodious 80s number by some guy named Gerry Rafferty. After all, we do love diversity.
