She’s a photographer seriously dedicated to her craft. Ms. Justa (pronounced Yousta) Jeskova is one of Mountain Life’s hardest-working contributors, whose images are almost always shortlisted for our gallery pages in each issue. She’s a Slovak girl who’s been living in Whistler for more than a decade, who has shot hundreds of thousands of frames at umpteen events in the Sea to Sky corridor.
This summer she entered the Deep Summer Photo Challenge and walked away with a third place finish against an all-star line-up of very well-experienced bike photogs. Personally, I wouldn’t have wanted to complete against the likes of Scott Markewitz and Ian Hylands, but being the underdog can make you damn hungry. Congrats Justa on a job VERY well done.
If you couldn’t make it to the show, here it is. Enjoy!
